We spoke to friends in Tel Aviv and in Gaza today. The cease fire continues to hold. Their perspectives are:
TEL AVIV: It's been challenging because of the rockets. Four times the alarm sounded when I was driving and we had to get out of our cars and lie flat on the highway. You can't live like that. Enough is enough is enough is enough. Let's hope the quiet will remain for a few years.
GAZA: In Khan Younis today one was killed and 19 injured. They were Palestinian farmers trying to return to the border area and Israel opened fire. Hamas said this was the first violation of the cease fire. But Hamas needs the cease fire. They will want to keep things calm - at least until after the Israeli election (22nd January 2013 to elect the 19th Knesset).
