Palestinian Elections

Calls by the President of Palestine and the Premiers of Britain and Israel for early Palestinian elections have been applauded in the WESTERN PRESS. Members of the NCF may be interested to see a mainstream Palestinian perspective that runs contrary to the view the Western Press is adopting. This, published in a column in the Guardian newspaper, is the perspective of Ms Karma Nabulsi, at one time an NCF member, she will be known to many of you as a former aide to Yasser Arafat. More recently she has worked in an advisory role for Nabil Shath.

Hi William thanks for putting this up, someone just sent me the link. Just a short biographical clarification to your comments about me: I have never acted, nor acting recently, as an "aide" to Nabil Shaath. I was a PLO representative in the 70s and 80s, in the UK, and before that in Tunis, Beirut, and at the United Nations. (see http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/karma_nabulsi/profile.html).

all best (or better at least) for 2007,
Karma

Thanks Karma,

Really great to hear from you. Clarrification noted. And Yes - God grant 2007 will be better (can it be worse? Surely not).

As ever

William
